Prosecutors discover uncertified parts in Russian planes in 2018

MOSCOW, Apr 9 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Prosecutor General’s Office has discovered that national aircraft producers used uncertified component parts in production of aircraft in 2018, as seen by PRIME on Tuesday in Prosecutor General Yury Chaika’s report to the Federation Council, the parliament’s upper house.

Prosecutors discovered discrepancies between the supplied parts and regulations for the products, which resulted in financial damage for the state. “In particular, we’ve discovered cases of illegitimate use of uncertified parts in production of aircraft,” the report read.

Prosecutors launched seven criminal cases on abuse of power and forgery after inspections in the republic of Tatarstan and in the Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov, and Ulyanovsk regions.
